Adults with Disabilities Christmas Lunch

When Georgie Randall was a stewardess with a national airline, she and her co-workers started a program of providing a Christmas celebration for developmentally disabled adults in the community and their caregivers. When the venue they were using began to charge them for use, they reached out to the Elks Lodge.

Then House Manager, George Price, brought the event to our Lodge, where it has been an on-going community service event for more than 30 years. Georgie is now somewhere in her octogenarian years-exact age unknown. She has retired and passed the torch to other community volunteers to organize attendees and the Elks Lodge continues to host this event. Special guests get a lunch, volunteer DJ for dancing and performance from a local dance troupe for entertainment.
